A Message from the Principal
Welcome Back, Nelson Roadrunners!
Nelson Roadrunners, it’s time to RUN IT BACK! We are beyond excited to welcome you back for a brand-new school year filled with opportunities, growth, and success.
At Nelson, we believe in competition. We compete every day to get better and better. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the field, in an activity, or in how we treat others, our goal is simple: be better today than we were yesterday.
We are committed to educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. When we take care of our minds, stay active in our bodies, and lead with strong character and heart, we can accomplish great things.
This year, we welcome new faces to our campus—both students and staff. With every new Roadrunner comes new energy, new ideas, and new opportunities. The beginning of a school year gives us the chance to turn the page and begin a new chapter in the Nelson story. Let’s make this our best chapter yet!
A Campus That Is Getting Better
I’m proud to share that every classroom and portable has completed Phase One of its remodel. These improvements are already making a positive difference in our learning spaces, and we are excited for Phase Two coming next summer.
You may also have noticed the fenced-off foundation for our new office. As construction continues, safety remains our utmost priority. We are committed to ensuring that students, staff, and families can navigate our campus safely throughout the school year.
A special shout-out to Larry, our site foreman, who has quickly become part of the Nelson family. We appreciate his leadership, partnership, and care for our school community.
We Are Better Together
Parents, thank you for being such an important part of the Nelson team. Keep talking to us. Share your ideas, ask questions, and let us know how we can support your children and your family.
We are all on the same team, working toward the same goal: getting better and better and better every single day.
Let’s make it an incredible year, Nelson Roadrunners.
Let’s RUN IT BACK and make this year unforgettable!
Tom Brocklebank
Principal
